Theme 1 of 3: Nouns with the name of G-d
In this study, Professor Rips chose from the Torah itself all occurrences
of aleph-lamed-hey-yod-mem (the first form of G-d's name used in
Genesis) preceded by a noun and an optional definite article.
There are only 29 such occurrences in the entire Torah. Having
identified them, he then looked for these 2-word phrases as ELS's.
Very often these ELS's occurred near relevant verses. Also they often
contained surprising extensions, though these were not included in the
probability estimates. Shown here are three of the more impressive
cases.
