True or False Test
Once upon a time there was a modern civilization that was suddenly
confronted by a miracle called codes in the Torah. Like all good
miracles, they could be explained away by those skeptics who
chose to do so. Or, almost as damaging, they could be mis-used and
mislead many people by those who are overly enthusiastic and do not
have the proper training. But for those with persistence and
curiosity, the more codes are studied, the more they display their
true nature: solid, intricate, and beautiful.

Playing with codes can be like playing with lightening.
One can reach completely incorrect or dangerous conclusions
from codes if one does not understand the proper preliminaries.
Preliminaries to using the codes properly:
-
First, we need to understand that two ELS's meeting on a grid are
like two people meeting on a street.
-
Next, we need to understand the difference between ordinary meetings
on a street and miraculous ones.
This is the crux of the matter.
An essential description is here
, including one of the simplest and most dramatic clusters of ELS's
found to date.
What we can conclude after learning these preliminaries:

It is surprising to see how much is written about codes, which does not
conform to the preliminaries above, and is therefore not statistically
valid. So my message is, codes are very real, but when deciding whether
or not to heed a particular example,
consider very carefully
the source for what you read or hear or watch on TV.
