What codes are not:
-
Codes are not a tool for predicting the future.
-
Codes do not take away our free will.
-
Codes are not a means of proving any particular philosophy, religion or
political viewpoint.
-
Codes are not a means to learn anything new that is not already taught in
the Torah.
-
Codes are not yet completely "cracked". Nor is there any guarantee
that they will be. But they are understood enough to be able to prove
their authenticity.
What codes are:
-
Codes are a highly intentional "watermark" or "fingerprint" indicating
that the Author of the codes (and therefore the Author of the Torah)
had powers beyond what is humanly possible.
-
Codes imply that the Author knew about modern
events 3300 years ago, when the Torah was given to Moses. This can
be a source of great hope, because it implies that
these events are not born out of chaos; but they have meaning
deep under the surface and are part of a Plan.
-
Codes can be essentially proven with scientific logic, with the
help of an open mind and a few simple but crucial principles
of statistics. In fact, the whole reason why codes are miraculous
is because they repeatedly occur in such statistically improbable
arrangements.
The scientific rigor of codes can actually be verified by laymen, as
detailed below.
