Theme 3 of 3: Daily Jewish Prayers
The final two cases in this series of important themes involve the
central Jewish prayer, the Shemoneh Esrei, recited three times daily
by Jews all over the world.
In this prayer, many different
attributes of G-d are recited, in the form "You [are] X". We will look
at two of these, "You are gracious" and "You support".
First, "You are gracious" (blue and red)
is shown as an ELS, the minimal occurrence in Torah.
The context during daily prayers is His
graciousness in teaching wisdom to humankind. The yellow highlighted verse
is Exodus 36:1, "G-d has granted them the wisdom and understanding to know
how to do":

Now, "You support" is shown (red and blue) in two tables, one for the
second minimal ELS in the Torah and the other for the third minimal ELS.
Both of these are direct hits on the same verse, Leviticus 4:4, in which
the anointed priest lays hands on (supports - same root - in green)
the bull to be sacrificed.
