More on Future Prediction and Messianic "Proofs"
Even if we are certain that a particular code table in the Torah is
intentional, and have valid statistics to back it up, all we have to
work with are several ELS's near to each other, and our interpretation
of how those words relate and what they mean, is very likely to be
incorrect and/or dangerous.
Here is an example of incorrect conclusions
involving Al Gore. A year before the November 2000 U.S. Presidential
elections, the following table was discovered:
In blue and red we have "Al Gore", and in yellow, "the president".

Now let's look at the additional, red letters, found later in the same picture
(also, by the way, before the election result was known):

These additional letters are translated: "he thinks maybe". So the intended
meaning (and the future) were quite unclear before the election outcome
was known.
Jewish literature (e.g. the Midrash and the Gemara) itself contains
many examples of incomplete or incorrect future prediction - for
example, by ancient Egyptian astrologers who foresaw Moses' birth but
could not determine if he would be Jewish or Egyptian (his biological
mother was Jewish but he was destined to be raised by an Egyptian
woman). As a result, the king of Egypt ordered that all male babies
be killed - Jewish and Egyptian.
Both this story and the code example itself indicate the danger of
prediction, using whatever method.
