Can Interesting ELS Tables be Found in Other Texts?

This is the crucial question - the first one asked by laymen and researchers alike.

The short answer is "absolutely not".

The researchers constantly compare the behavior of the Torah to other texts, such as the Hebrew translation of War and Peace.

Many ELS tables that appear to the untrained eye to be interesting, can be produced from any text. But a statistically significant set of results has been found only in the Torah. How do we measure significance? Precisely by comparing the Torah to thousands of other texts. A Torah Code that has significance of 1:10,000 means that we have tested it against for example 100,000 comparison texts, and found only 10 competitors. This is for a single code, but we see this same kind of result repeatedly in the Torah, for a wide range of topics and tests.
